Former NBA Star Makes Bold Luka Doncic vs Clippers Statement

In this story:
For a third time in five years, the LA Clippers and Dallas Mavericks will be facing off in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The Clippers have defeated the Mavericks in both previous encounters, but it seems like critics are picking Luka and the Mavericks to plow through the Clippers.
On an episode of Nightcap, former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas gave his prediction on the series.
"Luka ows them," Arenas said. "I mean, last 10 games alone he's averaged 37 against them. If the Clippers wanna get out of this series, there's only one person you have to even focus on. But this man is Superman when he's playing against you guys. I'm gonna throw a double at him earlier. I'm gonna let him know we're not playing you one on one."
Luka Doncic has a 12-19 record against the LA Clippers, including getting eliminated from the playoffs twice. His 19 losses against the Clippers are the most against any opponent in his career. https://t.co/d1oIReeiWJ

The most forgotten part about Luka Doncic's history with the Clippers is the fact that he spent the majority of his career losing to them. Doncic has a 12-19 record against the LA Clippers, including getting eliminated from the playoffs twice by them. Luka's 19 losses against the Clippers are the most against any opponent in his career. It seems more likely that it's by the Clippers' design to let Luka score high numbers against them to tire him out.
The biggest difference between this year and other years though is the fact that the Mavericks have a much better supporting cast. Even compared to the start of the season, the Mavericks are a completely different team - that's what the Clippers should be scared of.
