NBA Fines Ty Lue for Viral Comments After Clippers vs. Warriors

Following the LA Clippers' win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, Ty Lue was recorded outside of the locker room calling out the officials. Firing up his team as they entered the locker room, Lue could be heard calling out the officials for "cheating" during the Clippers vs. Warriors game.

The NBA announced on Friday morning that Lue has been fined $35,000 for his comments, releasing a statement that read the following:

"LA Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue has been fined $35,000 for public criticism of the officiating and for questioning the integrity of game officials, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations. Lue's actions took place outside the Clippers' locker room after the team's 130-125 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Feb. 14 at Chase Center."

Lue was ejected in the fourth quarter of this game after receiving his second technical foul, but the Clippers were able to rally together and steal a huge road win. Voicing his unhappiness with the officials outside of the Clippers' locker room, Lue was filmed doing so, and the video went viral on social media.

Assistant coach Dan Craig, who finished out the game in Lue's place, also took his spot on the podium after the game. Despite not officially speaking with the media, Lue was still fined.
