Paul George Blasts People Who Blamed Russell Westbrook for Losses

In this story:
Despite his solid play, the LA Clippers started 0-5 with Russell Westbrook. This unsurprisingly brought out all of the haters who were quick to blame Westbrook for problems that had persisted all season. On a recent episode of his podcast, Clippers star Paul George defended his teammate, and blasted the people who were blaming Westbrook for losses.
"In the beginning it was tough, because we got Russ - and everything that was surrounding Russ at the time, and then we go on this losing streak," George said. "And so of course it was quick for everyone to try to blame Russ for it, which was stupid because Russ honestly was playing unbelievable. Like elite. So it was tough to go through it while we were struggling with getting wins."
George said that even during the losing streak, the Clippers were getting the easiest baskets they had gotten in a long time, which is something he credited Westbrook for. George said those easy opportunities are something Westbrook looks for, which makes everybody else better.
The Clippers are now riding a three-game winning streak, and Westbrook’s vocal leadership is something his teammates have praised since his arrival. There seems to be a new level of focus and energy over these last few games, and Westbrook’s contributions to that are noticeable by everyone around the team.
