BREAKING: Grizzlies Expect Ja Morant to Return vs. Rockets

In this story:
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is officially eligible to return from his eight-game gun video suspension. His suspension ended prior to Memphis facing the Dallas Mavericks; however, Morant still needed to ramp up his conditioning before returning to the court.
Speaking with reporters at practice on Tuesday, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins announced that the team expects Morant to make his return to the court on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets. Memphis did well to survive in the absence of their star point guard, and will reinstate him into a lineup that held down the two-seed while he was out.

There is a lot of optimism around this Grizzlies group that they can make a deep playoff run, and getting Morant back at this point in the season only adds to the confidence this team has. The Houston Rockets are one of the worst teams in the NBA, so this should be a good opportunity for Morant and the Grizzlies to continue some positive momentum.
With Morant back in the mix, this Memphis team feels they can match up with anybody in the Western Conference. Doing well to hold off a Sacramento Kings team that has been in hot pursuit of the two-seed, Memphis has themselves well positioned for a deep playoff run. Having lost in the Western Conference Semi-Finals last season, there is a level of motivation for this group to go even farther this year.
