Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks was ejected from Game 3 against the Los Angeles Lakers for a Flagrant 2 foul on LeBron James. Speaking with the media on Sunday afternoon, Brooks broke his silence on the ejection, saying, "The media making me a villain, the fans making me a villain, that just creates another persona on me."

Seemingly embracing the villain role, it was interesting to hear Brooks mention fans and the media as driving forces of that persona. While fans and the media amplify his behavior and comments, there is no denying that Brooks has taken on the villain role during his time in the league, and especially this season.

Brooks was struggling at the time of his Game 3 ejection, as the Lakers were leaving him wide open, and he was unable to make them pay. While his defense is the primary reason he is on the court, his inability to knock down open shots is certainly something that limits what Memphis can do offensively.

The Grizzlies are now down 2-1 in the series, and will have to win Game 4 in Los Angeles to regain home court advantage in the series. Memphis came out incredibly cold in Game 3, as an incredible late-game run from Ja Morant was not enough to recover from what was a disastrous start. With Brooks back in the mix for Game 4, the Grizzlies will look to get back in the win column.
