In a recent article, Lucas Finton of the Memphis Commercial Appeal provided a breakdown of the new details that emerged from Ja Morant's criminal case involving 17-year-old teenager Joshua Holloway. These details were obtained from Davonte Pack's deposition, who was Morant's friend present at the altercation.
As Finton reported, Pack stated during his deposition that Morant did hit Holloway after the teen "squared up" to the Memphis Grizzlies star. Pack admitted that he also hit Holloway, causing him to fall, but then pulled Morant away from the teen, stating, "No, you don't need to be doing this. We don't need to be doing this."
As Holloway was leaving the court, Pack stated the already reported news that the teen said, "I'm going to light it up like fireworks."
While some of this information had already been reported, Pack's deposition added more details that helped understand the context in which certain things occurred. This is one of Morant's incidents that often gets included when people speak about the trouble he has been getting in, along with the two Instagram live videos, the Foot Locker incident, and the laser pointing.
It's important to note that all of these incidents have different sides to the story, which Morant said he hopes to be able to tell fully one day. As for the physical altercation with the teen, it's received a new development with Pack's deposition, and the full breakdown can be found in Finton's article for the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
