New Player Included in Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks Trade

In this story:
It was reported on Saturday that Memphis Grizzlies free agent Dillon Brooks has agreed to a sign-and-trade deal that would send him to the Houston Rockets on a four-year, $80M contract. As part of this trade, it was reported by Shams Charania and Kelly Iko of The Athletic that Brooklyn Nets guard Patty Mills would also be sent to Houston in that trade; however, Iko followed this news by reporting that Mills would not be staying in Houston, and would instead be rerouted elsewhere.
That rerouting of Mills has officially occurred, as it was reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski that Mills will be heading to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who will receive draft compensation for taking on his deal. This is a complicated trade to follow, but the bottom line is that Brooks is landing in Houston, Mills is being rerouted from Houston to Oklahoma City, and the Grizzlies (per Wojnarowski) will generate a "substantial trade exception" in the process.
As is the goal in multi-team trades like this one, each team stands to benefit in some way with this deal. The Rockets get one of their top free agent targets, the Grizzlies are able to create a trade exception in his departure, the Nets get off Mills' deal, and the Thunder receive draft compensation for taking it on. NBA free agency is always hectic, and this year is no different.
