Anthony Edwards Gets Honest About Memphis Grizzlies Star

In this story:
Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. is a big piece for Team USA's FIBA World Cup roster. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Jackson has the ability to impact the game on both ends - but only when he stays out of foul trouble. Fouling has been somewhat of an issue for Jackson so far in his professional career, and it's something his World Cup teammate Anthony Edwards says the team stays on him about.
"We get on him all the time about fouling," Edwards told Joe Viray of SB Nation. "We're trying to keep him out of foul trouble, because we know we're gonna need him. He's super important to the team, he might be the most important piece actually."

With the FIBA rules allowing for Jackson's defensive ability to show even more, Team USA certainly needs him on the floor as much as possible. This is something Edwards spoke about, and said the team has been communicating to the Grizzlies star.
Opponents during the NBA season, Edwards and Jackson are teammate for the summer, and have the potential to be a very good duo. This Team USA roster has a lot of players who fit nicely together, but certain players are going to be relied upon more than others. Jackson is definitely one of those players, and Edwards spoke on just how important he is.
