Grizzlies Break NBA Record vs. Houston Rockets

In this story:
Making a franchise record 25 threes in Friday night's win over the Houston Rockets, the Memphis Grizzlies broke an NBA record for the most efficient night from deep on that many makes. A team making at least 25 threes in a game has only happened 36 times in NBA history, and the Grizzlies making 25 threes on 59.5% from deep was the most efficient of them all.
Memphis was helped by a career night from sharpshooting guard Luke Kennard, as the league leader in three-point percentage finished with 10 threes on 11 attempts. Kennard entered the night leading the NBA in three-point percentage, and separated himself from the pack a bit with this performance.
Eight different Grizzlies players converted from deep in this game, including Ja Morant who played his second game back from suspension. Finishing with 18 points in 19 minutes off the bench, Morant continued to look comfortable out there on the floor after missing nine games. It's unclear how long Memphis will bring Morant off the bench, but they have a good rhythm right now and seem to be peaking at the right time.
While the Houston Rockets are one of the worst teams in the NBA, this performance from the Grizzlies is undoubtedly one that builds confidence and momentum. Championship teams are supposed to take care of business in this way, and the Grizzlies did so in historic fashion on Friday night.
