Grizzlies Give Update on Ja Morant's Return Before Mavericks Game

In this story:
With Ja Morant out at least two more games, the Memphis Grizzlies are prepared for whatever follows this internal decision to keep the star point guard away for a period of time. Morant is of course away from the Grizzlies because of the team's decision to hold him out after he was seen flashing a gun on Instagram live.
The team's most recent official update came two games ago, and it announced that Morant would miss at least the next four games. When asked before Monday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks if this means Morant could return after the next two games, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said, "There are a lot of internal dialogues going on and obviously there’s still things going on at the league level that we’re in communication with. Ja's fully engaged in this process and ready for whatever comes next after these 2 games."
Taylor Jenkins on if Ja Morant returns Fri: “There are a lot of internal dialogues going on and obviously there’s still things going on at the league level that we’re in communication with. Ja’s fully engaged in this process and ready for whatever comes next after these 2 games.”

From these comments, it seems as if the Grizzlies are still awaiting an official decision from the NBA on possible punishment for Morant. There is a possibility that the league takes action with Morant's team "suspension" in mind, as they could consider these missed games as time served. There is no real sense on what the league will decide, but Taylor Jenkins made it clear in Monday's update that Morant and the Grizzlies are engaged with the process and are ready for what comes next.
