The NBA offseason is always a great time for players to give back to the community. Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. recently visited a local children's hospital, and shared a wholesome moment with young fans who were incredibly excited to see him.

Jackson recently won the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year award, elevating what has already been an impressive start to his young career. The Grizzlies star is expected to be a core piece to what Memphis is building, which makes it that much more special to see him connecting with the community in this way.
The Grizzlies as an organization are always active in the community, and have already announced summer camps for young basketball players to participate in this summer, along with other community appearances for players and coaches. Most recently, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins presented a check to Shelby County schools, which the team announced on Twitter:

An NBA team is a very important part of a city's community, and the Memphis Grizzlies do a great job of connecting with the people in their area. Between Jackson Jr. visiting a local children's hospital, coach Jenkins visiting a local school, and David Roddy making an appearance at a fan event, there has been a strong Grizzlies presence in the community already this offseason.
While fans wait for next season to begin, some have had some unique opportunities to connect with their favorite team in the offseason.
