It is officially the NBA offseason for 28 of the league's 30 teams. With only the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat still playing, all other teams have entered summer mode. The offseason grind includes several different things, including NBA players working out with high-level trainers in order to improve their game for the upcoming season.

Players will often complete these summer workouts with players from other teams, which are usually those they have relationships with off the court. One of the latest instances of this was shared to social media on Thursday, and it showed Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. working out with his former college teammate Miles Bridges.

Bridges and Jackson played together at Michigan State University before both were selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Jackson went 2nd overall to the Grizzlies, and Bridges technically went 12th overall to the LA Clippers, but was traded to the Charlotte Hornets.

Bridges has not played in the NBA since the 2021-22 season, where he averaged 20.2 PPG in 80 contests for Charlotte. A restricted free agent following that season, Bridges was involved in a domestic violence incident on June 27th, 2022. Bridges plead no contest to a felony domestic violence charge, and an investigation by the NBA resulted in a 30-game suspension that was handed out on April 14th, 2023.
