In this story:

One of the few bright spots in an otherwise dreadful season for the Memphis Grizzlies has been 19-year-old rookie GG Jackson. The youngest player in the NBA, Jackson has spent a lot of time with the G-League Memphis Hustle, but is getting opportunity at the NBA level.

With back-to-back 20-point games, Jackson not only put the league on notice, but made history in the process. At just 19 years old, Jackson has already appeared on multiple lists that only Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appears on. Not many players enter the NBA at 19, and even fewer are able to make an immediate impact. Jackson has been doing that, making the most of this opportunity.

Grizzlies star Ja Morant is one of those who is understandably excited for Jackson, and shared this message for the rookie forward:

This has been a nightmare of a season for the Grizzlies, as Ja Morant's return from a 25-game suspension lasted just nine games before he was sidelined for the year due to shoulder surgery. This news came after several other injuries had already piled up for Memphis, and it was soon followed by the news that Desmond Bane would be out at least six weeks with an ankle sprain.

It has been that type of year for Memphis, but GG Jackson has been a bright spot.
