Ja Morant Sends Message to Pelicans Fans Who Booed Him

In this story:
Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant made his return from a 25-game suspension on Tuesday night, and he had a truly incredible game. Finishing with 34 points and the game winning layup, Morant silenced a Pelicans crowd that greeted him with boos.
When asked after the game about getting booed in his first game back, Morant sent a message to the Pelicans fans, saying, "You see where that got them."

“You see where that got them.”
While it was great just to see Morant back on the floor and playing well, it was also great to see him getting back to himself. Talking to the crowd, showing emotion after baskets, and hyping up his teammates, Morant did not look reserved on the court at all. This is exactly what the Grizzlies want from him as he works his way back after such a long absence.
It would have been understandable for Morant to ease himself into things after such a long absence, but he came out on a mission in this game. The Grizzlies have a lot of ground to make up in the Western Conference, but if Morant is able to maintain this level of play, there is no reason why the Grizzlies cannot snag a play-in spot or better by the time the season ends.
It was a storybook return for Morant, who silenced the opposing crowd.
