Lakers Reveal Injury Update on Anthony Davis

In this story:
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis left Sunday afternoon’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Davis went back to the locker room towards the end of the second quarter, and nobody knew right away how severe the injury was. Davis seemed to be in a significant amount of pain, which naturally led to some concern.
In a very encouraging update, the Lakers announced that Davis is available to return to the game. Davis started incredibly well, as he was dominating the Grizzlies down low. Any injury to him would severely limit the Lakers' chances in this series. With the Lakers announcing that Davis is available to return, the star big man began the second half on the court, which was great to see. It was a scary sight at first, but there seems to be no more concern for Davis, as he is back on the floor to begin the second half.
As previously mentioned, Davis was dominant to begin the game, and the Lakers will need much more of that from him not only in the remainder of this game, but the remainder of this entire series. Owning the paint on offense and defense, Davis has an opportunity to have a big series with Memphis so limited up front. With Steven Adams and Brandon Clarke both sidelined, the Grizzlies are without two of their usual front court pieces.
