Memphis Grizzlies Announce Big Injury News

The Memphis Grizzlies have been decimated by injuries all season long, which compounded their already difficult start to the year with Ja Morant suspended. With Morant back and playing great, the Grizzlies are also ready to welcome back some more reinforcements.

Recently activating Marcus Smart after an extended injury absence, the Grizzlies announced some more big injury news on Saturday, upgrading both Luke Kennard and Derrick Rose to questionable for their next game.

Rose and Kennard have been sidelined for some time, but it looks as if both players could be returning as soon as next game. The two injured guards were out early on the court in Los Angeles on Friday night getting work in, and looked to be feeling good. Kennard went through his usual shooting routine on the court, while Rose went through his pregame routine while also running a lot up and down the court.

Getting Kennard and Rose back will help stabilize the Grizzlies' rotation, which is a big deal for a team that has had so many players in and out of the lineup this year. Memphis has a lot of work to do in order to climb back into the playoff picture, but getting as many pieces back will go a long way towards making that happen.

The Grizzlies next game is on Sunday vs. the Sacramento Kings.
