Memphis Grizzlies Announce Major Injury Update on Star Player

In this story:
Already without Ja Morant for the rest of the season, the Memphis Grizzlies will also be without Desmond Bane for at least the next six weeks. Bane sprained his ankle in a loss to the LA Clippers, and the team made an official injury announcement on Sunday that read the following:
"The Memphis Grizzlies today announced the following medical updates for wing Desmond Bane and forward Jake LaRavia. Bane has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the third quarter of the January 12 game against the LA Clippers. He will be re-evaluated in six weeks. LaRavia has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 high left ankle sprain, which he sustained during the first quarter of the January 13 game against the New York Knicks. He will be re-evaluated in three weeks. Further updates will be provided as appropriate."
It has just been that type of season for the Grizzlies, as things continue to get worse and worse. Beginning the year without Ja Morant for 25 games due to his suspension from the NBA, Memphis got him back for just 9 games before losing him for the year to shoulder surgery.
Morant will now be joined on the bench by Bane and several other key contributors for Memphis, which likely ends any hope this team had to make the playoffs.
