The Memphis Grizzlies are 2-0 since getting Ja Morant back from suspension, as their entire outlook on the season has shifted in just two games. Following their most recent win, which came over the Indiana Pacers, the Grizzlies announced that Jake LaRavia had been recalled from the G-League Memphis Hustle.

LaRavia has contributed very little at the NBA level this season, but the Grizzlies have still tried to have him available due to all of their injuries. Down several key rotation players, Memphis needs depth at the NBA level, which is why LaRavia has spent so much time with the big club.

The Grizzlies have done a good job managing the situation with LaRavia and others like him, as the team wants to continue getting their young players reps in the G-League while also having them available if needed at the NBA level. This should be less of an issue once the Grizzlies get some of their injured players back, as LaRavia will not be as needed, even as a depth piece.

While this is a very marginal roster move, it is still one the team released an official announcement for. The bigger roster news the last week was the release of Kenneth Lofton Jr., who was another player that bounced back and forth between the NBA and the G-League during his time in Memphis.
