Memphis Grizzlies Reportedly Interested in Trading for Knicks Guard

In this story:
The Memphis Grizzlies have a lot to figure out between now and the start of next season. With their playoffs chances this season likely being over due to injuries, the Grizzlies must now focus on building a roster for next season. In a recent report from Ian Begley of SNY, Memphis was named as one of the teams with trade interest in Quentin Grimes.
"The Knicks may trade Quentin Grimes ahead of the Feb. 8 trade deadline, as he’ll certainly draw interest from opposing teams. The Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets are among the teams with interest in the 23-year-old shooting guard," Begley wrote.
Grimes is under contract for $4.3M next season, which means the Grizzlies would likely be making this move in order to keep him around once Ja Morant returns at the beginning of next season. Having a down year, Grimes is averaging just 6.8 PPG on 38.7% from the field. Both of these marks are a big step back from the 11.3 PPG on 46.8% shooting that Grimes posted last season. Also playing just 19.8 minutes per game, Grimes has not been getting heavy minutes in New York, which is one of the reasons his name has been included in trade talks.
The Grizzlies are reportedly one of the teams interested in trading for the Knicks guard.
