Memphis Grizzlies star Desmond Bane made an announcement on Friday, announcing his 2nd annual skills camp in his home town of Richmond, Indiana. Bane made the announcement on Twitter, which linked to a sign up page that included these details on the camp:

Raised in Richmond, IN, Desmond Bane has always prioritized giving back to the youth and community in his hometown. His Skills Camp will give athletes access to similar training concepts, progressions, and programming that have helped him reach his goals and continue to improve each season, as well as games and competition throughout the week. Alongside Desmond and his trainer, Taylor Wayer, there will be a group of established professional coaches, athletes and high-level skill development trainers who share the same passion and energy for giving back and developing the youth as he does.

It is always great to see professional athletes prioritizing the youth, especially in their home town. Bane is regularly involved in his community, and this is a great opportunity for him to connect with young basketball players who look up to him. The camp will run from July 17-19, and will be a great opportunity for young players to learn from one of the game's rising stars.

As Ja Morant's backcourt partner, Bane has emerged as a rising star in the NBA, averaging a career-high 21.5 PPG last season.
