Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. is set to play for Team USA in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, and recently shared a heartfelt message about his excitement for all of the basketball he has coming up.

"What's up, ya'll? First day of [Team USA] practice is done," Jackson said. "Got USA on me right now. I'm feeling great, I miss ya'll. We're running right now, I'm in shape, I'm ready to go, can't wait. Only thing I care about right now, then it's back to the get this ring thing. Love ya'll."

Just like he is for the Grizzlies, Jackson projects to be a huge piece for Team USA this summer. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year, Jackson will have an opportunity to make a huge defensive impact in FIBA World Cup action, especially with some of the unique rules.

While so much has been made of Jackson's defensive presence, and rightfully so, Team USA coach Steve Kerr also spoke highly of his offensive game, recently saying, "At the offensive end, he's a guy who is a good pick-and-pop player as he's shown over the years with Memphis. He can step out and make a three but also score inside, so he's really versatile. Jaren was a huge pickup for us, and we're really excited to have him."
