When people began noticing that Ja Morant's "Hunger Ja 1" sneakers had been removed from the Nike and Finish Line apps, it was interesting to see them remain on SNKRS, which is another Nike app where shoes can primarily be purchased by those who enter a drawing.

Some wondered whether Morant's signature shoes would also be removed from the SNKRS app, but the release was on Thursday morning, and the shoes were not only available, but sold out instantly. The "Hunger Ja 1" sneakers can still be purchased on resale platforms, but are no longer retailing after quickly selling out on Thursday morning.

Nike has yet to release a statement regarding Morant's latest gun video incident, as they could be awaiting a decision from the NBA before addressing it - if they choose to at all. The league is expected to suspend Morant for a lengthy stretch of games to start the 2023-24 season, but no official announcement has been made by the NBA yet.

For now, Morant is taking a break from social media, which comes after the star point guard posted a cryptic message that led to the police conducting a welfare check. The police ultimately determined that Morant was alright, which is where they found out he was simply announcing his break from social media amidst all that's going on with him right now.
