Steve Kerr Shares Incredibly High Praise for Grizzlies Star

In this story:
Team USA has completed their 2023 FIBA World Cup training camp, and those around the team are very impressed with what Memphis Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr. has been able to do so far. Speaking on the final day of training camp, Golden State Warriors and Team USA head coach Steve Kerr praised Jackson's awareness on the court.
"He's filled out quite a bit," Kerr said of Jackson. "He's bigger, stronger, got more experience so he's more confident with things that are going on on the floor. Actions that we're running, he recognizes all that stuff, and he's a really great young player."

This is not the first time Kerr has shared high praise for Jackson since becoming the Defensive Player of the Year's Team USA coach, recently saying, "Jaren is somebody we're going to rely on for his presence at the rim, his force defensively, his ability to help from the weak-side and cover up mistakes, back-cuts and that sort of thing... At the offensive end, he's a guy who is a good pick-and-pop player as he's shown over the years with Memphis. He can step out and make a three but also score inside, so he's really versatile. Jaren was a huge pickup for us, and we're really excited to have him."
Before rejoining the Grizzlies, Jackson projects to make a big impact on Team USA.
