The Atlanta Hawks power forward is averaging 17.2 points and 8 rebounds per game this season. Despite his stellar play, Collins has been the subject of trade talks for the past few weeks. As I've written before, dealing such a strong player would be a mistake.
The Atlanta Hawks power forward likes to add insult to injury with his thunderous dunks. Hawks fans like to call them "baptisms" and I can't blame them. It's one of the many reasons why Collins should be in the 2022 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
The Atlanta Hawks center has regressed from his incredible first season with the team last year. Capela still averages 11.6 and 12.9 rebounds which is phenomenal. But he has missed games, and continues to struggle with shots around the rim.
The Atlanta Hawks have the third-worst defensive rating in the NBA this season. Perhaps things are looking up, as their defensive rating is 24th in the NBA since their winning streak began last Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Atlanta Hawks point guard is not only playing at an All-Star level, but an All-NBA level. Maybe even MVP if the Hawks record wasn't so bad. 'Ice Trae' is averaging 27.9 points and 9.4 assists per game this season.
