Hawks Release Initial Injury Report for Tuesday's Matchup with Cleveland

In this story:
After a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday, the Atlanta Hawks are getting the day off today before getting back on the court to face the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night.
The Hawks just released their injury report for tomorrow night and there is nothing new to add. Jalen Johnson, Kobe Bufkin, and Mouhamed Gueye are all out tomorrow, the same as yesterday. Bufkin and Gueye have been on the injury report for a couple of weeks, while Johnson was added after he injured his wrist in the first half of the win over the Wizards.

Johnson's absence was felt right away in the loss to the Celtics last night. He has been one of the Hawks's best two-way players this season and they don't have any player on the roster that can replace him and his impact. He would have helped in guarding Jayson Tatum, who had a big game against Atlanta last night. His ability in transition and rebounding are a big plus as well.
Johnson has been incredible for the Hawks this season. He is averaging 14.1 PPG, 7.3 RPG, and is shooting 42.3% from three-point range. He has run the floor well in transition as a passer and has been exactly what the Hawks have needed at the position. The Hawks defense is much better with Johnson on the floor and that might be the aspect of his game that the Hawks are going to miss the most.
Last night in his absence, Saddiq Bey got the start and AJ Griffin was back in the rotation as well. De'Andre Hunter played big minutes and that is going to be something that will probably become normal for the Hawks going forward until Johnson makes his return.
