Jimmy Butler Once Again Guarantees A Miami Heat Championship Before Concluding China Tour
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler made one last public appearance before his China tour ended Monday.
He made sure to make one more proclamation of the Heat winning the NBA championship this season. Speaking with local reporters, Butler once again guaranteed a title.
“It was a great season as a whole but we came up short,” Butler said. “We’ll go back to the drawing board and I am going to pick the Heat to win the championship in 2024.”
The Heat ended last season in the play-in tournament. After beating the Atlanta Hawks and Chicago Bulls, they entered the playoff as the No. 8 seed. They then became just the second last seed to advance to the NBA Finals since the New York Knicks in 1999.
The Heat fell just short of their goal, falling to the Denver Nuggets in five games.
