Fans Once Felt Retiring Referee Eric Lewis Favored Celtics Over Heat

In this story:
Miami Heat fans took aim at referee Eric Lewis during their series against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.
A video surfaced of Lewis appearing to grimace after Heat forward Jimmy Butler made a layup. Heat fans immediately accused Lewis of favoring the Celtics. He was lumped with referee Scott Foster, another who was riled by the Miami fan base.
On Wednesday, Lewis retired amid a social media controversy.
“NBA referee Eric Lewis has informed the league office that he is retiring, effective immediately. In light of his decision, the NBA’s investigation into social media activity has been closed.”
Lewis was accused of having a burner social media account under the username "Blair Cuttliff." He used it to defend his calls, which is against league policy.
The allegations surfaced during Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. As a result, Lewis wasn't allowed to officiate the Heat's series against the Denver Nuggets.
Lewis was one of the most respected officials before retiring after 19 seasons.
