Golden State Coach Steve Kerr Would Love Miami Heat's Success in Clutch Games

In this story:
Fans often appear upset after the Miami Heat win a close game.
Across the country, the coach of the defending champions would more than accept what the Heat have accomplished. Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr sounded off after their loss Saturday to the Los Angeles Lakers, who were playing without LeBron James.
The Warriors are 14-16 in clutch games compared to the Heat's 23-17. If the Warriors had similar success, they would sit higher than fighting for their postseason lives at the No. 9 spot in the Western Conference standings.
"I think our guys are frustrated," Kerr said. "We've had so many close losses ... they're frustrated we couldn't close out these last two games and we haven't been able to string together enough wins to create a little momentum."

Kerr's comments puts things into perspective because he's struggling while in charge of a team that includes Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. It also shows why the Heat are content with winning in any fashion. They are a season-high seven games above .500, riding a three-game winning streak entering Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets.
"We just want to win," Heat forward Jimmy Butler said. "We want to practice winning habits, practice winning games ... Whether it's a close game or not, we just got to continually win."
