NBA free agency officially began this evening, which means a barrage of deals are going around for role players and stars alike.

And just like that, Miami Heat fans are angry their team hasn’t made any moves so far.

Heat president Pat Riley already insisted the organization won’t be making any large acquisitions or big deals. Still, fans were holding on to the hopes that some big headline would come to fruition.

It didn’t. And honestly, it’s probably not going to.

The Heat were three games away from capturing a championship but more is needed to achieve it. Riley’s content with the roster is not shared among the fanbase, who aren’t as optimistic of another improbable Finals run next season. This lack of optimism only sank with the lack of transactions around Miami.

They lost Gabe Vincent to the Los Angeles Lakers and Max Strus reportedly signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their star targets Damian Lillard and Kyrie Irving are likely staying in place after Irving re-signed with the Dallas Mavericks and the Portland Trail Blazers signed Jerami Grant to a five-year extension.

Heat fans, buckle up. It’s going to be a long offseason.
