Miami Heat Buyout Possibilities Shrink With Reggie Jackson Signing With Nuggets

In this story:
Another Miami Heat potential buyout target has reportedly signed with another team.
Guard Reggie Jackson, who was bought out by the Charlotte Hornets, is expected to sign with the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets. The news was first reported by The Athletic.

Jackson is the second guard to join a contender in the West via buyout. It was reported guard Terrence Ross left the Orlando Magic to join the Phoenix Suns. The Suns recently acquired Kevin Durant, pairing him with Chris Paul and All-Star Devin Booker.
Ross spent the past seven seasons with the Magic. This year, he is averaging eight points in 22.5 minutes off the bench. A career 11.4 points a game scorer, Ross had his best season 2020-21 when he averaged 15.4 points in Orlando.
Ross and Jackson could helped Miami with scoring and experience in the backcourt but the Heat are growing more confident in guard Gabe Vincent. He has filled in nicely for starter Kyle Lowry the past few games.
The Heat, who were unable to make any moves at the trade deadline, could still be in the mix for Russell Westbrook.
