Miami Heat Could Yet Again Be Frontrunners For Jae Crowder

On Wednesday night, Jae Crowder was included the blockbuster trade that sent Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets to the Phoenix Suns

But, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets are expected to “explore trade scenarios” for Crowder. If true, the Miami Heat could be a frontrunner to acquire Crowder.

Crowder played for the Heat in 2019-20, helping them reach the NBA Finals where they lost to LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. He was a reliable piece because of his experience and skills set. He averaged 11 points on 48 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

In his two years with the Suns, Crowder averaged nine points on 40 percent shooting from the field and 36 percent shooting from the 3-point line.

Ever since P.J. Tucker left, the Heat haven’t been able to fill the power forward spot. Adding Crowder could provide a reliable option and help improve 3-point shooting.

The Heat have until 3 p.m. today to make a move.
