Miami Heat, Rest Of NBA Awaiting Status Of Brooklyn Nets' Kevin Durant

In this story:
The Miami Heat were in the mix for Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant last season.
After the recent shakeup in Brooklyn caused by the Kyrie Irving trade, the Heat could once again make a run at Durant before the trade deadline. Ian Begley of SNYtv said the rest of the league, including the Heat, is waiting on Durant's status.

"For the Nets, they don't have clarity yet on where Durant stands at the moment after the Kyrie Irving trade," Begley said. "Obviously, they're trying to make deals and they to know is Durant in with us now or is he out?"
If Durant wants out, it could mean the difference between a Nets rebuild in Brooklyn or them going after a player such as Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors. A Nets overhaul could provide the Heat opportunity to make a run at Durant, especially with them needing additional scoring.
Stay tuned.
