For the past few weeks, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo took the place of teammate Kyle Lowry as the top bashing target for fans.

After a subpar second half of the season, Adebayo showed why the Heat organization is so high on him. He had 22 points, nine rebounds and seven assists Sunday in their Game 1 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Adebayo played a huge role in the Heat holding off the NBA's best team, especially in the fourth quarter.

"He was able to knock down some big ones down the stretch that just kept that separation," Spoelstra said. "But that's not something that just happened the last 48 hours."

The question now is this: Can Adebayo sustain it? He's dealt with consistency issues most of the season. Also, the Bucks are likely to have Giannis Antetokounmpo for Game 2 Wednesday. He missed the second half Sunday because of a back injury.
