Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler posted a video on his Instagram story Saturday morning listening to Damian Lillard’s song Money Ball.

The post only fueled speculation about Lillard and Butler teaming up this season in Miami.

Friday night, Lillard was listening to "Miami" by Will Smith on Instagram live before his agent, Aaron Goodwin, quickly shut down the rumors by telling The Athletic, "The music was just a coincidence. Damian’s not disrespectful. He’s not an instigator, so he’s not going to do anything out of character."

Trade rumors began when Lillard listed the Heat as his preferred destination if he was traded this offseason. Since, they have picked up tremendously, with Portland drafting Scoot Henderson third in the draft instead of using the pick as trade bait to bring in a second star.

Trailblazers general manager Joe Cronin has no desire to trade Lillard unless he makes a request.

"There’s nothing we want more than, number one, for Damian to retire a Trail Blazer," Cronin said.

After Miami’s second Finals loss in four years, it would explain Butler’s eagerness to team up with Lillard. The Heat’s fan base has tired of team president Pat Riley refusing to making any significant roster changes in the past few seasons.

Although Lillard says he wants to stay in Portland, Butler’s recruitment efforts could increase his interest in going to Miami.
