Stan Van Gundy had plenty experience with Dwyane Wade during their time as coach and player for the Miami Heat.

Van Gundy, who coached Wade for two seasons, called him the best clutch shooter he's seen while making an appearance on the Quentin Richardson podcast.

Wade the winning basket his first playoff game against the New Orleans Hornets in 2004.

"In his first playoff game ever, game-winner on Baron Davis," Van Gundy said. "The thing with him that was great, I always said that I would argue this with anybody. I know people will have other guys. He's the best end-of-the-game, last-shot guy I've ever seen. I know I'm biased but here's the thing with D-Wade, too. Not only did he shoot a high percentage in those situations, if it's a tie game, he's getting the last shot. You ain't getting one back. He's not shooting it too early."

Here's a look at some of Wade's winning baskets during his career. He retired in 2019 and is expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in April.

Van Gundy does have a good point because Wade never shied from the big moments during his playing days. He ranks right up there with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the clutch.
