"In his first playoff game ever, game-winner on Baron Davis," Van Gundy said. "The thing with him that was great, I always said that I would argue this with anybody. I know people will have other guys. He's the best end-of-the-game, last-shot guy I've ever seen. I know I'm biased but here's the thing with D-Wade, too. Not only did he shoot a high percentage in those situations, if it's a tie game, he's getting the last shot. You ain't getting one back. He's not shooting it too early."
Here's a look at some of Wade's winning baskets during his career. He retired in 2019 and is expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in April.
Van Gundy does have a good point because Wade never shied from the big moments during his playing days. He ranks right up there with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant in the clutch.
