Friday night, the Charlotte Hornets will be looking to pick up their third straight win and clinch their first winning season since James Borrego's final year on the job five years ago.

Can they take care of business against the Indiana Pacers? Here is how our team sees this one playing out.

Schuyler Callihan: Hornets 135, Pacers 108

The Hornets know they can't afford to mess around and drop this game. I think we'll see them come out of the gates with great intensity and deliver a couple of big swings before going on a big run to open the third for the knockout punch. Getting out to a big, comfortable lead is important so that they can get the reserves into the game and rest the regulars in the rotation. I don't see anything getting in the way of making that happen. Hornets pound the Pacers and potentially climb up the Eastern Conference standings.

Zach Roberts: Hornets 121, Pacers 110

The Pacers need to rack up losses, and the Hornets need to rack up wins. What say both teams come to an agreement before the game? The Pacers are coming off a huge win over the Chicago Bulls, dropping 145 points. They will come back down to earth, and they will want to make up for a crushing loss in their quest for the worst record. Charlotte's been kind of good on back-to-backs, and even if they rest Grant Williams and/or Coby White, they have more than enough firepower and are riding high enough from a big win last night to cruise past.

Owen Watterson: Hornets 129, Pacers 107

Charlotte showed they were still capable of picking themselves up off the mat versus Phoenix — this game against Indiana will be another test of their ability to refocus properly.

The Hornets can't get caught looking past Indiana to their last four games: Minnesota (0-1) this season), Detroit (0-1), Boston (1-1), and New York (1-1).

Charlotte has proved with their last Sacramento and Brooklyn win that they can keep the focus. This Pacers game is Charlotte’s last “easy” game, though, and will be the ultimate test of the team’s “one game at a time” mentality… which I don't see being broken tonight.

Charlotte avoids a trap game and beat another lowly Eastern Conference foe by double digits.
