Danny Ainge Reveals 6 Jazz Players Set to Play in Summer League

These young Utah Jazz members will have a prime chance to develop during the summer months.

While the 2023-24 NBA season has come to a close for the Utah Jazz, we won't have to wait until October to see the team's bright young players hit the floor again. Once this electric postseason comes and goes for the rest of the league, this year's rendition of Summer League will be right around the corner.

And when it comes to the Jazz, things don't seem as if they're holding back one bit in letting their young guys get some experience in Vegas this July.

As reported by Sarah Todd of Deseret News on X, the Jazz has planned for Walker Kessler, Keyonte George, Taylor Hendricks, Brice Sensabaugh, Darius Bazley, and Kenneth Lofton Jr. to all appear in this offseason's NBA Summer League. Utah CEO Danny Ainge revealed the team's plan to roster each of these players during his media availability on Tuesday morning.

Compared to the rotations head coach Will Hardy handled down the final month of the regular season, the Summer League squad doesn't project to look much different. The Jazz will likely also implement their soon-to-be-drafted rookies into the mix, making for what should be an extremely talented group to work with.

Utah is projected to have the 8th-overall pick alongside the 29th and 32nd selections for this year's NBA Draft, meaning we could potentially see a total of nine players in the Summer League aiming to secure a roster spot on the 15-man for the 2024-25 season

Of course, in the final weeks of the NBA season, the win-loss record for this young Jazz group didn't fall their way. They amassed a 4-18 record since March, finishing the regular season at 31-51. However, in the Summer League, there's a great case to be made that success will inevitably come with these high-potential one-, two-, and three-year players.

For a team already possessing an immense amount of cap space, draft picks, and other intriguing opportunites ahead of this offseason, this Summer League should prove to be an exciting time as a Jazz fan.
