Actor and producer John Krasinski, a lifelong basketball fan, unveiled his all-time Boston Celtics starting five in a recent interview with SI Kids.

"My starting five would be the starting five from when I was a kid," Krasinski told SI Kids sports reporters Jayden and Hudson. "It would be Larry Bird, Danny Ainge, Robert Parish, Kevin McHale and Dennis Johnson. That would be my five."

The SI Kids reporters followed up his answer by asking if Krasinksi—whose new movie IF is coming out Friday—would consider Celtics legends John Havlicek and Bob Cousy in his top five.

"Wait a minute, what?" exclaimed Krasinski. "How do you know these names? Yes, they're all on my squad, but the starting five are still the five that I grew up with."

Krasinski grew up in Boston during the peak of the Bird era in the 1980s. That Celtics starting five that he named—Bird, Ainge, Parish, McHale and Johnson—won the 1986 NBA title together, the third and final championship of Bird's playing career.

The 2024 Celtics are trying to add to the franchise's trophy case this summer, as they entered Wednesday just one win away from advancing to their third straight Eastern Conference finals appearance.
