Lakers News: LeBron James' Son Makes Surprising In-Season School Switch

In this story:

Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward LeBron James is always in the spotlight. Take into account his presence, plus being in the bright lights of Los Angeles, and it's a match made in heaven. Because James is so famous and a hot commodity, that means all facets of his life are open, including his children.

His oldest son, Bronny James, is carving his own path in the college basketball scene with the USC Trojans.

His youngest son, Bryce James, is looking to do the same.

Bryce made some headlines of his own this week, as he will be returning to high school basketball powerhouse Sierra Canyon.

James is leaving Sherman Oaks Notre Dame mid-season for Sierra Canyon and will be eligible to play right away.

This is the junior's third time transferring in just a few months. The youngest James son played with his older brother, Bronny, for two years at Sierra Canyon.

Over the summer, Bryce announced he would be attending a new school, Campbell Hall, an independent school in Studio City, CA. However, after just a few preseason games, he decided to transfer to Notre Dame High School. But Bryce was ruled ineligible for half the season because his family never changed homes.

Because of this, Bryce will now go back to the San Fernando Valley and will be able to play basketball immediately. That is a ton of change for the eldest James son, but the good thing is he is in good health and will play the game he loves without sitting out for some time.

That is a lot of change for the 16-year-old; nonetheless, we wish Bryce the best in his upcoming season.
