LeBron James Injury Status For Lakers vs Pelicans

In this story:
21-time All-Star Los Angeles Lakers power forward LeBron James, who at 40 is the NBA's oldest active player, could miss Tuesday's showdown against the lowly New Orleans Pelicans (17-44).
According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the 6-foot-9 superstar is considered probable to play through a left foot injury that's been bugging him for most of the season.

Five-time All-NBA First Team guard Luka Doncic is questionable due to a right knee contusion, while Most Improved Player candidate Austin Reaves shares that pregame status as a result of a strained right calf.

Standout two-way Lakers guard Jordan Goodwin is on the shelf with a right ankle sprain. Goodwin's defense and size has made him a prime candidate to replace Gabe Vincent in JJ Redick's rotations.
Starting Los Angeles forward Rui Hachimura, who of late has also functioned as Redick's preferred small-ball backup center, is also sidelined thanks to a left patellar tendinopathy.

New Lakers power forward/center Maxi Kleber, the second-best player acquired in L.A.'s mega-blockbuster trade for Doncic last month, remains unavailable as he recuperates from a January right foot surgery.
James recently climbed yet another historic NBA list when he captured his 1,000 career victory in his Lakers' 108-102 Sunday win against the L.A. Clippers. James scored an inefficient 17 points on 6-of-17 shooting from the field (1-of-6 from distance) and 4-of-4 shooting from the free throw line, while dishing out nine dimes (against eight turnovers), pulling down five rebounds, swiping two steals and blocking a shot.

That win — their sixth in a row — improved the Lakers to a 38-21 record on the season, good for the No. 2 seed in the competitive Western Conference. Los Angeles and the 39-22 Denver Nuggets are both a whopping 11 games behind the West's top seed, the 50-11 Oklahoma City Thunder. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's young squad has already punched their ticket for the postseason.
Through 55 games this year, James is averaging 24.8 points on .518/.391/.768 shooting splits, 8.6 assists, and 8.0 rebounds a night.
