Luka Doncic Makes Lakers History While Climbing All-Time NBA List

Doncic sits just ahead of two Lakers legends in Kobe Bryant (27 years, 136 days) and Wilt Chamberlain (27 years, 156 days) to round out the top-five fastest to hit the threshold.
Since entering the league, Doncic has quickly established himself as one of the league’s top scorers and has only taken that up a notch over the last few seasons. He’s amid another highly productive campaign, as he led the league with 33.7 points per game before Tuesday’s contest.
Doncic has been on an offensive tear over the last month, as he extended his active streak to 13 straight games with at least 30-point performances, while he’s scored 30 or more points all but once.
Per Lakers: With his 30th point tonight vs. Cleveland, Luka Dončić has posted his league-leading 44th 30-point game of the season, the sixth-most in a season in franchise history.

His hot offensive stretch features him post seven 40-point outings, including a season-high and new Lakers’ personal best 60 points. Doncic has been nothing short of dominant offensively while Los Angeles continues to find sustained success, pushing their way to the third-best record in the Western Conference.
The six-time All-Star’s strong performance in Tuesday’s game extended his league lead to 27 games with a 30-point double-double this season, tying Elgin Baylor for the seventh-most in a season in Lakers history.
He has scored 30 or more in 13 straight games, the longest streak of his career and the fourth-longest in Lakers history.
The Lakers superstar also added to his league-best mark with his 44th 30-point game of the season, which is the sixth-most in a single campaign in team history. Beyond that, he surpassed Bryant for the most points scored in the month of March in Lakers history.

Doncic is playing at an elite level that continues to get overshadowed by Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama in the MVP conversation.
It’s simply too hard to ignore the historic offensive pace that he is on, while the Lakers have won 16 out of their last 18 games. Over the last month, Los Angeles has played like one of the best teams in the league, and the 27-year-old is the head of the snake.
