Luka Dončić Will Miss Tuesday’s Lakers–Suns Game With Injury

In this story:
The Lakers will play without Luka Dončić on Tuesday night vs. the Suns. The Los Angeles star is dealing with a lower left leg contusion he suffered during Saturday’s 103–88 loss to the Clippers.
Earlier on Monday, Lakers coach JJ Redick said Dončić was considered day-to-day with the injury, but he was ruled out later that day. Dončić missed the second half of Saturday’s game after he was “hobbling” at the end of the first half, Redick said.
Redick isn’t sure how much time Dončić is expected to miss at this point. The Lakers play again on Christmas Day vs. the Rockets on Thursday.
This will be the fourth game Dončić’s missed this season due to a lower left leg contusion as he was out for three games back in October. This injury seems unrelated to the previous one, though.
Dončić is averaging a career-high 34.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.8 assists through 21 games.
However, the Lakers did elevate Austin Reaves to questionable. He’s missed the last three contests with a left calf strain. Los Angeles might finally get him back on Tuesday if he can participate in practice.
