Los Angeles Clippers vs. Orlando Magic: 3 Best Bets

Before the Orlando Magic takes on the Los Angeles Clippers, we have you covered with our three best bets.

For the second time this season and the first time since Halloween, the Orlando Magic will take on the Los Angeles Clippers. The Clippers won the early matchup, but have cooled off since the All-Star Break. The Magic has gone 6-4 over the last ten games, but the Clippers have gone a lowly 4-6.

Both teams are fighting for playoff position, with the Magic hoping to secure home-court advantage in the first-round series. The Clippers are fourth in the Western Conference but are only a half-game in front of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Orlando Magic

Oct 31, 2023; Los Angeles, California, USA; Los Angeles Clippers guard Russell Westbrook (0) moves against Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (50)

Markelle Fultz is the only player on the injury report for either side, as he is questionable with a left knee injury.

Our Picks

Safe pick: Franz Wagner OVER 17.5 points (-125)

Franz Wagner is only averaging 16.6 points over his last five games, and he only scored 14 points against the Clippers earlier in the season. However, with the defensive attention Paolo Banchero will receive from Kawhi Leonard, expect Wagner to get open more than usual. He's been cold from three as of late, shooting only 19.4 percent over his last ten games, but knowing he has to step up should provide some motivation.

Opponent pick: James Harden UNDER 14.5 points (-118)

Harden has settled into a reduced role in Los Angeles this season and is averaging 14.6 points over his last five games. However, Jalen Suggs is one of (if not the) best defenders in the backcourt in the league, so Harden's ability to create with the ball in his hand will be made extra difficult with Suggs glued to his hip all night.

Team pick: Magic to win (+100)

Neither team has been great against good teams. Over the last ten games, the Clippers are 0-4 against playoff teams and the Magic is 1-3. With both teams struggling against top competition, expect home-court advantage to play a factor. The Magic is 25-11 at home, and the Clippers are 22-13 on the road, so the game should come down to the wire, but Orlando should sneak by.
