The Brooklyn Nets just got a massive win against the 76ers, which could start a good streak. However, the Nets must play better, especially when the team is just days removed from losing to the struggling Grizzlies.

The Nets are visiting Little Caesars Arena to play against the Detroit Pistons. It will be a challenging game, considering the Pistons have made huge strides with their improvement as the season has progressed.

Detroit should not be underestimated

Brooklyn already had two wins against the Pistons in late December, but that was during the former’s 28-game losing streak. Since then, the Pistons have struggled, but the Wizards have overtaken them for the worst record in the league.

Despite Detroit’s struggles, they are still an NBA team capable of winning games. They have promising players like star guard Cade Cunningham. The former 1st overall pick averages 22.2 points and 7.4 assists per game, which could be a big deal for the Pistons, as he could be the game-changer for this squad.

Jalen Duren will also be a threat, as the young big man is averaging a double-double with 13.9 rebounds and 11.8 rebounds. Nic Claxton will have his hands full against the former Memphis Tiger since Day’Ron Sharpe is injured.

For the Nets, the team played well against the 76ers when the role players shone. This game against Detroit should be similar to that performance with an energetic and well-rounded play style.

At the same time, this is an opportunity for Nets star Mikal Bridges to redeem himself from his struggles as of late. He did have a 38-point night against Atlanta, but he’s not reached his usual level as the team’s star player.

Injury Report

The Nets had a healthy squad after the All-Star break, but now they have multiple injured players. Ben Simmons is out due to his lower-back nerve impingement flaring up, while Cameron Thomas and Cameron Johnson both rolled their ankles. Day’Ron Sharpe is questionable with a right wrist contusion.

Detroit has only one player on the injury report. Quentin Grimes is out with a knee injury, taking him out of this game against Brooklyn.

This game will be fun, as the Pistons want to break into double-digit wins. However, Brooklyn needs this win for the Play-In Tournament race.
