The Brooklyn Nets had one of the most impressive results of the season after blowing out the Los Angeles Lakers 130-112. Now, Brooklyn wants to beat both LA teams with this upcoming game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena.

This game will be fun because the Clippers are even more formidable than the Lakers with their uber-talented lineup. However, the confidence that the Nets got from their previous win should play a factor in this upcoming game.

The Clippers are a problematic matchup for any team

Tyronn Lue’s Clippers squad is one of the most talented in the league. Spearheaded by Kawhi Leonard, the team still boasts superb players like Paul George and Russell Westbrook off the bench. However, you should note James Harden is part of this team now.

James Harden’s playmaking has been a big reason why the Clippers have become one of the best teams in the league. The Beard is averaging 16.9 points and 8.4 assists, firmly cementing himself as the playmaker that the team has needed for a long time.

Kawhi’s consistency will be on full display against the Nets because he is the first option for the Clippers. He is scoring 23.8 points per game on 52% from the field. His combination of mid-range dominance and shot creation will be challenging for the Nets’ wing defenders. Mikal Bridges, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Cameron Johnson will have a tough time defending Leonard and George.

For Brooklyn, Cameron Thomas stood out against the Lakers, scoring 33 points. His emergence as a top scorer off the bench is a good development for Coach Jacque Vaughn after relegating the former LSU Tiger to the bench. Nic Claxton is also a candidate for having a great game, given LA is playing without starting center Ivica Zubac.

Injury Report

The Nets are still without Ben Simmons due to a nerve impingement in his lower back. He is ramping up his recovery process as he’s bound to return soon, possibly in the next month. Day’Ron Sharpe is the other player on the injury report with a hyperextended left knee.

The Clippers are without Zubac due to a right calf strain, weakening Harden’s pick-and-roll play. The other two players on LA’s injury report are Xavier Moon and Moussia Diabate.
