Durant likely won't play this season, so you can imagine why he wasn't exactly jumping for joy when he was introduced in front of the Barclays Center crowd.

Prior to last night's home opener against Minnesota, the Nets announced Durant's arrival as he strutted through the makeshift entranceway that dropped down from the arena's rafters.

Durant's main passion is basketball, and that has been taken away from him this season.  The Nets are expected to be a playoff team this year, but many pundits across the country aren't expecting them to surpass last year's win total of 42.

As the Nets try to be cautious with Durant's return from injury, it can't be easy for the basketball icon to sit out and watch his team for the majority, if not the entire season.

Durant looked engaged on the sidelines and was actively participating in timeouts and coaching up his squad alongside Kenny Atkinson and his assistants. It's a long road to recovery from his injured right Achilles and the last thing Durant or the Nets want to do is bring him back too early..

General Manager Sean Marks has already stated that he expects Durant to be out for the entire year and the expectation is that he will play at0 the start of the 2020-2021 season. While Nets fans anxiously await Durant's return to the floor, it's clear that the future first ballot Hall of Famer is not as comfortable off the court as he is on it.
