Brooklyn Nets 2026 NBA Cup Schedule Revealed

The Nets could make an early-season statement with some marquee matchups.

The NBA schedule release is just around the corner, but the Brooklyn Nets already know some of their marquee dates for next season.

After the NBA expectedly left the Nets off the schedule for opening night and Christmas Day, Brooklyn got a chance to see part of its schedule on Wednesday with the release of the full NBA Cup schedule. Set for its fourth season, the NBA Cup has slowly become a staple of the early portion of the regular season, and this year, it could give the Nets an opportunity to make a statement with their new-look roster.

A few weeks ago, the NBA announced the groups for this year’s edition of the NBA Cup, which featured the Nets in East Group A. The Nets will be competing in the group stage against the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks.

Although the Nets will be projected below at least three of those teams going into the season, every matchup should be a winnable one as they look to improve from their 1-3 performance last year. In the 2025 NBA Cup, the Nets’ only win came in Boston as they upset the Celtics in their third game of group play.

Across the three years of NBA Cup action, the Nets have managed only a 5-7 record, highlighted by a 3-1 performance in the inaugural season. Yet to make it to the knockout rounds, the Nets will be looking to navigate their NBA Cup schedule and secure their first trip out of the group stage in 2026.

Oct. 30: Detroit Pistons at 7:30 PM ET

Nov. 20: Orlando Magic at 7:30 PM ET

Nov. 25: at Milwaukee Bucks at 8 PM ET

Nov. 27: at Toronto Raptors at 7:30 PM ET

It will certainly be a challenge for the Nets to work their way out of the group stage, but this season might be their best chance yet. Although continuity typically favors teams early in the year and could cause some extra issues against Orlando and Detroit, the Raptors and Bucks have also undergone some major offseason changes, which could benefit the Nets.

Obviously, these games still count toward the regular season standings as much as any other matchups in November, but this slate could be a momentum builder for Brooklyn. As the team looks to earn its first trip to the postseason since 2023, getting some wins in NBA Cup play could be a catalyst for the Nets’ season.

It remains to be seen how Brooklyn will perform in the in-season tournament this time around, but it now knows exactly what its path will look like.
