Ben Simmons Out for Back-to-Back Clash with Orlando Magic

In this story:
As expected, Ben Simmons won't play on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic for the second night of the Brooklyn Nets’ back-to-back games.
Ben is yet to be cleared for a back-to-back play due to injury management. Aside from any back complication that may exist again, the Nets are also applying precautionary measures in handling the 27-year-old’s sore left leg, which he sustained last Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Ben 10 performed well in the Nets' dub vs. Grizzlies
Ben was initially listed as questionable on Monday against the Memphis Grizzlies, but he was ultimately allowed to go upon testing out his leg during pregame warm-ups.
Simmons came off the bench and only played over 14 minutes, dropping four points, six rebounds, and three assists to help the team's eventual 111-86 win. Amid a new injury that he's been dealing with, he remains high-spirited about what he can fulfill in his limited role.

“I’m all right,” Simmons said. “Yeah, I mean, I’m gonna give this team everything I got, regardless of how I feel.”
Brooklyn's upcoming road match against the Magic will mark the 44th game that Ben will miss in the 2023-24 season.
Dennis the Menace to the rescue
In the wake of Simmons' inactivity, the Nets have no reason to get worried as Dennis Schroder is about to step up his game once again.
Dennis started at the point for the Nets' Monday win over the Grizzlies, in which he registered a game-high 18 points to go with five assists — a bounce-back performance after recent games of struggle.
“I always try to be just focused on what I’m doing, what I’m bringing every single day,” Schroder said before facing the Grizzlies. “I think picking up full court, bringing the energy defensively and on the offensive end, play with pace, try to involve my teammates.”
