One of the refreshing faces for the European fans in this year's NBA Paris Games is Cam Thomas.

Interestingly, Thursday marks the first time that the Brooklyn Nets guard will play in front of basketball fans outside of North America. For Cam, it just adds another thrill and anticipation in what would be the warm reception of the crowd within the Accor Arena.

The show is on in front of new and different fans

While there has been an excitement flowing through his veins about their impending face-off with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Thomas admitted that it has been a massively unusual vibe for him to play and be around thousands of Paris basketball fans.

As such, the 22-year-old stands determined to put on a show and dazzle the fans with his microwave scoring.

“It’s different for me, for sure,” Thomas said. “It feels good just to be in a different spot playing basketball, in a different country, so that’s good.

“I’m just trying to stay in as much of a rhythm as I can, try to keep my routine as simple as possible. [The time difference] has definitely been a factor, for sure. So I’ll get used to that, I’ll probably be straight by tomorrow.”

Come out and support

As he has his first opportunity to play for non-American fans, Thomas is relishing the moment to participate in the Paris Games and help the franchise expand its hoop influence and fanbase.

Cam has nothing but love for the fans that would fill the 20,300 capacity of the Accor Arena and especially for those who would rep the Nets jerseys in support.

”Come out to the game, support me, I appreciate all the support,” Thomas said. “It’s good to have different fans in different countries, so I definitely cherish that a lot. Just come out to the game. If you got my jersey, I’ll sign it because I don’t know when I’m coming back out here, so we’ll see. So I’ll definitely try to put on a good show for my fans and the fans that are out here watching the game tomorrow, for sure.”
