Ahead of the game against the Boston Celtics, the Nets only have one player in the injury report, Cameron Johnson. However, he is ramping up quickly and is on track to return after the All-Star break.

That will mean the Nets will have their complete lineup after the festivities in Indianapolis, which could be a significant boost for the rest of the season. Coach Jacque Vaughn certainly thinks so, as he believes the Nets are ready for a big second half of the season.

“For us to get healthy, it’s the most vital thing for us going forward. It gives us a chance to figure out our combinations, who’s gonna play, rotations, to use our depth, and to figure out on both ends of the floor, what’s beneficial,” Coach Vaughn said in the practice session before the pair of games against the Celtics.

A healthy rotation does wonders for Brooklyn

The 2023/24 season has been challenging for Coach Vaughn and his team. They have not gotten the best continuity because they always have someone injured. Ahead of this back-to-back against Boston, the Nets are only one player away from having a fully healthy team.

Coach Vaughn can ponder the Nets’ best rotation now that everybody is healthy. It will be a tough decision, but a complete Brooklyn roster can compete against any team in the league. The Nets have a three-point guard rotation, and the center position won’t require Nic Claxton to play almost every minute.

The Nets will be a challenging opponent after the All-Star break

The upcoming week-long break will be valuable for Brooklyn. Only Johnson is on the injury report for this back-to-back against Boston, which shows the Nets are about to hit their stride.

Coach Vaughn waited for the roster to fill out with healthier players after having injuries almost every week. Ben Simmons is now back and ready to contribute alongside Dorian Finney-Smith, Day’Ron Sharpe, and Lonnie Walker IV.

A complete Brooklyn squad will be hard to beat because they have depth in every position. Spearheaded by stars Mikal Bridges, Cameron Thomas, and Nic Claxton, the Nets should pose a challenge to any team that plays against them after All-Star Weekend.
